LUNA-C Arts is located in the chicken coop of an 1860 barn in Acton, MA. Wood carver and furniture maker, Nancy Carroll, creates functional and decorative wood art for your use and amusement. Nancy makes giant carved portraits of vegetables, pets and, most recently, people. Each piece is carved from thick slabs of pine and painted in vivid acrylics. And since her chicken coop studio exudes essence of chicken, Nancy finds it imperative to make chicken art: carved and painted chicken portraits and Chickendale Furniture. She also builds rustic furniture, especially benches and coffee tables, from trees and interesting pieces of wood to which she adds hand-carved details and accents. From her days in woodworking school Nancy has a small collection of one-of-a-kind studio furniture. Enjoy looking at the photos.
