Litter Lady

Litter Lady cares very much about litter. Any litter on the ground ends up in waterways and in the ocean. Fish, birds and mammals in the ocean are eating plastic trash and dying from choking and/or entanglement.

Be part of the solution:

Please...
NO LITTER.
NOT EVER.
NEVER.

Herring Woman

Herring Woman loves herring. She is very excited about the marvelous migration that takes place every spring along the East Coast. Hundreds of thousands of blueback herring make their way from Nova Scotia to Plymouth to spawn...a journey of 1,200 miles! They find their way into Plymouth Harbor, around the jetty, past the Mayflower and under a small bridge into Town Brook. AND THEN they launch themselves two miles upstream, against the current, up to Billington Sea to mate and leave their eggs!!! The adults return to Canada, and will come back to Plymouth three or four more times in their lifetime. Meanwhile in Billington Sea the tiny fish grow and after a few weeks make the trek down the fish ladders, past the Mayflower and out into the open ocean. In a couple of years they will return to their birthplace to repeat the cycle.
